Menagerie by M is what animalier and ceramic artist, Margaret Southwell calls her unique ceramic creations. The inspiration for the whimsical animal sculptures comes from 18th century and 19th century ceramic figures of England, Europe, Japan and China. Margaret sculpts wildlife and domestic animals with some amphibians, invertebrates and reptiles every now and then.
Each piece is one-of-a-kind, hand modeled and painted. What endears them to collectors is their colorful, whimsical charm and happiness, the essence of Margaret Southwell herself.
